Point your camera at a page. Local Scan straightens what it sees, evens out the lighting and cleans up the text, so a photograph taken on a kitchen table comes back looking like a scan.
Capture
Press the shutter once per page and keep going, or bring in pictures you already took.
Straighten
Drag the four corners to the edges of the page. A picture taken at an angle comes back square.
Clean up
Local Scan works out how bright the paper is across the picture and lifts it to white, so the text reads clearly.
It all happens on your device
There is no account, no signup and no sync. Your pages are never uploaded, and the app keeps nothing of them: they live in its memory while you work and are gone when you close it. Privacy sets out exactly what is written down, which is your export settings and nothing else.
